Heraklion Airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” (Crete) begins its operation as usual.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), flights at Heraklion Nikos Kazantzakis Airport will operate as usual from February 24, 15:00.
In particular, work to modernize the infrastructure of Heraklion Airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” was completed according to schedule. The necessary work on technical asphalting of the runway has already been carried out. According to the plan, cleaning of the territories also began today.
Once the work is completed, the security level of Heraklion Airport will be increased. In addition, the arrival/departure halls have been put in order, automatic entrance doors and air conditioners have been replaced. Also, for the convenience of passengers, new buses have been purchased that will transport citizens to aircraft on the runway and back.
