The use of drones will make a significant contribution to solving the traffic problem.
The traffic department will now use drones to control traffic in Attica with the aim of more directly regulating traffic on the main roads of the capital and quickly “unloading traffic” on the roads.
Thanks to the use of drones, traffic police will be able to receive a complete picture of the situation on the main roads of Attica in real time And be able to intervene immediately when a problem is detected.
The drones will operate centrally from the Traffic Enforcement Operations Center (THEPEK), from where coordination takes place throughout Attica. It is expected that the use of drones will make a significant contribution to solving the traffic problem that prevails during rush hours on some roads in Attica, making the road network safer.
