The owner and employee of a confectionery shop in Galati experienced a nightmare when three armed robbers broke into the bakery’s production area early on Thursday morning, September 28th.
The robbery occurred at approximately 4:30 am on Kivelis Street. The criminals broke through the side entrance to the bakery, entered the workshop and, threatening with two pistols, immobilized the 51-year-old owner and 57-year-old employee. The attackers tied the victims’ hands and feet with strong tie-wrap and began searching for money.
Finding nothing, they took the keys to the bakery owner’s apartment (which was located above the store, on the floor above) and rushed there. After robbing the apartment, the criminals fled. The victims of the armed robbery managed to free themselves after some time and reported the incident to the police. An investigation has been launched.
