On Sunday morning, July 23, a fire broke out on a regular OASTH city bus traveling through the Evosmos district of Thessaloniki on Megalo Alexandrou Street.
The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. after a short circuit in the back of the bus due to wiring problems. It is worth noting that the bus was in motion, and the driver immediately stopped it. Seven occupants of the vehicle disembarked safely, according to OASTH.
Firefighters were immediately alerted to the scene and extinguished the fire. The damage to the bus delivered to the depot is not too great, since the fire did not have time to spread to the body.
