My Home program: more than 2,000 applications for preferential loans approved

Details of the implementation of the new housing program “My Home” were announced by the State Employment Service ΔΥΠΑ (Δημόσια Υπηρεσία Απασχόλησης).

As stated in the related announcement, for seven weeks, from April 3rd to May 22nd:

  • A total of 31,506 applications were submitted, of which 13,632 have already been considered, i.е. more than 4 out of 10 (43%).
  • Of the 13,632 applications that were evaluated, 9,414 received pre-approval, that is, almost 7 out of 10 (69%), and the rest were rejected because they did not meet the requirements.
  • Out of 9414 pre-approvals, 2071 loans were approved, i.e. more than 1 out of 5 (22%). The property has already been found, legal and technical due diligence has begun, with an average soft loan amount of 104,835 euros.
  • A total of EUR 162,834,221 has been disbursed for 2,071 approved loans, i.e. 43% of initial funding DYPA in the amount of 375,000,000 euros.
  • 70% of approved loans are for borrowers with incomes between €12,000 and €24,000 and 15% for borrowers with incomes up to €12,000, while 64% are for couples.
  • 37% of approved loans relate to the purchase of a “first home” in Attica, 22% in Central Macedonia, 7% in Thessaly and 6% in Western Greece.

It is noted that within the framework of the My Home program young people or couples aged 25-39 can purchase a home with a monthly payment significantly less than a mortgage,75% DYPA coverage provided.
