Employees of the Attica Drug Enforcement Administration, with the assistance of the Port Authority of Patras, caught a 55-year-old citizen red-handed.
According to ΕΛΑΣ, the detainee tried to import through the port in a trailer of international cargo transport a certain amount of raw and processed cannabis, which he had previously transported to Italy from Spain. It is noted that the man hid drugs in boxes with ceramic tiles.
In total, the following were found and confiscated:
54 kilograms 600 grams of hydroponic hemp (skunk); 3 kilograms 880 grams of processed hemp.
The vehicle and mobile phone were seized. The detainee was taken to the Athens prosecutor’s office.
The consignment of drugs was reportedly found during an inspection carried out at the entry of vehicles into the port of Patras. Cars and trucks were inspected with a dog that detects illegal substances.
