On Wednesday, the Ever Arm container ship arrived in Piraeus, the largest TEU container ship ever “moored” in a Greek port.
The 400-meter long vessel was built this year in South Korea and is owned by the Taiwanese shipping company Evergreen Marine Corporation, one of the largest container companies in the world.
The Ever Arm can carry 23,992 TEU and docked in Piraeus at noon on Wednesday. However, it is not the largest container ship in the world, as Evergreen’s Class A vessel, Ever Alot, has a capacity of 24,004 TEU.

A month ago, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of CSSC, announced the launch of world’s largest container ship. The new container tonnage world record holder is 400 meters long, 61.5 meters wide and has a draft of 17 meters.
Ever Alot is the seventh Evergreen A class vessel and the first vessel in the world to exceed the 24,000 TEU mark.
However, the difference in 12 containers is visually completely invisible, so the spectacle is amazing in any case.
