“Easter will be celebrated in compliance with existing measures. After two years of the pandemic, all festive events will take place in full,” Thanos Pleuris said a few days ago, officially declaring “freedom” for Easter.
During Holy Week, the Resurrection of Christ and Easter Sunday, liturgies will be held in churches, as before the pandemic.
Measures for churches at Easter
Protective masks must be worn to enter temples, and antiseptics will be placed at the doors, which believers can use. At the same time, it is strongly recommended to wear a protective mask in the open air, where there will be crowds of people, for example, during the Epitaph, writes in.gr.
We remind you that, according to the latest issue of the “Governmental Gazette” dated April 10 and valid until at least April 18, the following applies to the entrance of believers to churches:
Persons are allowed to participate in any religious ceremony after a mandatory demonstration at the entrance:
A) certificates of vaccinations,
B) medical certificates
C) diagnostic (with a negative result) test for coronavirus (PCR or rapid test).
Minors between the ages of 4 and 17 may alternatively submit a negative self-test result.
Religious ministers and singers during ceremonies are exempt from the mandatory use of a mask.
