Evangelism is on fire – 92 hospital employees diagnosed with coronavirus

At one of the largest hospitals in Athens, Evangelismos General Hospital, 92 employees have tested positive for coronavirus.

The head of the hospital, Georgios Ferentinos, speaks on ERT:

“The situation is very difficult. We have over 90 colleagues who test positive for coronavirus do not work. This number is expected to increase in the next few hours – as the tracking process continues – to well over 100. In addition, more than 90 colleagues have been suspended for about four months due to refusal to vaccinate. “

According to him, the staff cannot even leave for sick leave:

“There is a complaint that colleagues are forced not to go downstairs to take a coronavirus test, so as not to create problems in the departments in case of a positive result. The situation is also explosive in intensive care units, where the ratio of nurses to seriously ill is 1: 4, when it should be 1: 1. “

There is a problem with the relatives of patients, the head of the clinic complains:

“There is a broader issue, not just personnel. The spread of the coronavirus in the hospital was discovered. And that signals an alarm about how visitors are screened and whether escorts are being tested for free. “
