Thessaloniki: queue for … vaccinations

Today, Thursday, an incredible crowd was observed at Aristotle’s Square in Thessaloniki – a mobile group is giving vaccinations against coronavirus to everyone, without an appointment.

From the very morning, long before 9 o’clock, dozens of people began to gather in the square, grtimes.gr reports. Some of them planned to get their first pfizer vaccine, others a booster dose. The mobile point will serve everyone until 15:00.

Chapter 3ης ΥΠΕ Panayotis Bogiatsidis notes that vaccination is accelerating across the country as citizens understand that the only way to protect against coronavirus is vaccine.

The action, which aroused the interest of the townspeople, is being carried out in cooperation with the municipality of Thessaloniki. The territory for servicing citizens wishing to be vaccinated was ready early in the morning. Haris Aydonopoulos, Deputy Mayor of Thessaloniki for Health and Social Policy, claims that he foresaw a large turnout and that the workers were well prepared. He turned to the townspeople:

“The solution is vaccination. There are no magic spells and miracles. Vaccination for everyone, for everyone, to end the pandemic. “
