When the body is affected by this form of coronavirus, the course of the disease can be compared with pancreatitis. Describing the symptoms, the doctor says:
“I would put the word“ stomach ”in quotation marks. It is difficult to say for sure that these are ulcerative pains, as happens with an ulcer of the stomach or duodenum. Some doctors think it looks more like an attack of acute pancreatitis. “
Bolibok claims that such pains are easily relieved by analgesics and antispasmodics. However, it is necessary to adhere to the diet for a sufficiently long time so as not to provoke painful manifestations.
Earlier, Yulia Kokovina, assistant of the Department of Gastroenterology of the Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University, spoke about the symptoms of “gastric coronavirus”. She compared the pain with the manifestations of a peptic ulcer – often in the form of contractions and at night. However, pain can occur both spontaneously and after eating, mainly localized in the navel. There may be a loosening of the stool, but there is usually no mucus and blood in it.
Additional symptoms, which experts draw attention to, may be heartburn, acid-bile discharge into the esophagus, and an increase in gas formation. Some doctors do not pay enough attention to such manifestations of the coronavirus, based on its classic signs – cough, fever, shortness of breath.
