Russia: a 35-year-old patient with covid has “stepped” from the 9th floor

A dentist was admitted to a hospital in St. Petersburg with a complication of coronavirus. 4 days after the death of her mother, who lost the battle with the covid, the young woman took her own life.

Her father, 58-year-old head of a private dental clinic, Oleg Khorovsky, died of coronavirus last month. Then his mother died – Professor Lina Khorovskaya, a specialist in clinical diagnostics. The deaths had a fatal effect on the young woman’s weakened body by the coronavirus – she stepped into the void from the ninth floor of the Covid department where she was being treated.

According to the Daily Mail, after the fall, the young doctor was still alive, but she died in hospital from her injuries. As the patients from her ward at the Elizabethan hospital say, she grieved at the death of her parents, fell into depression and could not stand their tragic death. It is not reported whether the deceased family members were vaccinated against the coronavirus.

In Greece, the coronavirus situation continues to be of concern, especially in the northern part of the country. Yesterday, our publication reported that three intubated patients died due to lack of seats in the intensive care unit in Thessaloniki. Michalis Giannakos, President of the POEDIN All-Hellenic Federation of Public Hospital Workers, says that the health care system in Northern Greece is already at its limit. On Real Fm Thessaloniki, Mr Giannacos noted:

“Of the 7 intubated patients who were treated outside the intensive care unit at the AHEPA Hospital in Thessaloniki, three unfortunately died. While four others remained in the same hospital after intubation, but outside the intensive care unit. The three who ended up in the hospital, if they got to the intensive care unit, could be more fortunate. They died intubated in a simple coronavirus clinic. In total, 13 people with coronavirus are waiting in the hospitals of Thessaloniki until a bed in the intensive care unit is available. One is being treated at the pulmonary clinic, two at the Papanicolau and six more at the Papageorgiu.

The death of three young people only in the last week was reported by Deputy Minister of Health Mina Gaga, in connection with the death of a 28-year-old resident of Komotini. She applied on Facebook to call all unvaccinated young people to get vaccinated.
