For the first time in Greece, there was a legislative act – the puppy was forcibly taken from its owner.
According to zophoros.gr, for the first time in history, the Cretan police have begun to confiscate a pet from its immediate owner. It was produced directly by the authorities and implemented in accordance with the recently adopted law on the “welfare” of four-legged pets.
In a complaint to the police, it was said that the alleged perpetrator beat the puppy with a broom. According to zophoros.gr, the police found that the woman required psychiatric help.
According to the new law, the dog was taken from the owner and transferred to the animal protection organization, the nursery “Zoforos” (Crete), for further care of the animal that has lost its owners.
