From April 1 to April 30, a total of 8,575 Public Employment Service (PES) social tourism vouchers have been activated at tourist accommodations in the country.
The most popular destination was the southern sector of Athens, followed by Evia and Ioannina. The voucher can be used until June 30, 2024, according to the announcement.
Beneficiaries can spend up to six nights in accommodation they choose from a list of providers.
In particular, in Leros, Lesbos, Chios and Kos you can spend up to 10 nights for free, and in Rhodes, Evros and Samos – up to 12 nights.
In addition to accommodation in tourist accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidized. The contribution for the general category of beneficiaries is 25%, and for large families – 20%. For disabled people, ferry tickets are provided free of charge.
