A large number of applications for participation in the Tourism for All 2024 program were submitted on the online platform vouchers.gov.gr. Who are the beneficiaries and what are the amounts?
According to the platform, the number of applications amounted to 972,893. Of these, 78.2% relate to beneficiaries who will participate in the lottery to receive a subsidy of 200 euros, 3% – to people with disabilities of 67% or more who will participate in the lottery to receive double the amount, that is, 400 euros for covering the need for an accompanying person, and 18.8% – to vulnerable groups of the population: married or cohabiting couples with three or more dependent children, pensioners of all funds with a final decision on the assignment of a pension and single or widowed citizens with dependent children who will accept participation in the lottery to receive an intangible digital card worth 300 euros.
Potential beneficiaries of the program are adult individuals who meet certain income criteria and have submitted a final income tax return for 2022.
Those beneficiaries who are selected through a lottery will be able to receive an intangible digital debit card which they can use to stay at any hotel or accommodation in the country of their choice without any bureaucratic procedures.
The date of the draw and the final tables of beneficiaries are expected in the second half of April and before Easter. Therefore, those who applied will be informed about the results of the draw via sms and email according to the details they provided when submitting the application.
