Millions of people around the world watched the total eclipse of the Sun

Residents of some islands in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, as well as the United States, Mexico and Canada, observed a total eclipse of the Sun.

The first to see a unique phenomenon were in the Mexican city of Mazatlan. The Moon completely covered the Sun and the sky darkened for 4 minutes. Private phases were available to those located in countries in North and South America, Central America and Western Europe. You should look at the sky using special protective glasses to avoid damaging your eyesight.

The next total eclipse will take place on August 12, 2026 and will cover large areas of the Northern Hemisphere.
