The 39-year-old killer of 28-year-old Kyriaki near the police station of the Agios Anargyros district is hospitalized in critical condition.
According to iefimerida, the man attempted suicide early on Sunday morning 4/7. Penitentiary staff found him in the toilet of the psychiatric ward of Korydallos prison. The arrested person was hospitalized in critical condition in the intensive care unit of the Attikon hospital.
It is reported that everything happened around 01:20 am. To attempt suicide, he used bandages that doctors had applied to his wounds when he slashed himself with a knife.
According to the same information, the prison staff in Korydallos who found him carried out resuscitation measures and performed artificial respiration until the ambulance doctors took him away.

According to the STAR, the man who killed Kyriaki with five stab wounds near the Agia Anargyros police station spoke about a knife in his testimony, but he does not remember anything that happened on the fateful night. In the few words he spoke, he stated that he remembered where he got the knife, but not the moment when he attacked and killed Kiriaki.
“I don’t remember anything until I woke up in the ambulance. I took a knife from the house with the intention of hurting myself in front of her. We have had fights in the past, but no violent incidents. It has happened in the past that I have taken drugs and various substances. Apparently that’s why I didn’t know where I was and didn’t realize my actions,” the man said.
