Tickets.gov.gr: digital entrance to stadiums will go live on April 9

The platform for issuing electronic tickets has been opened – from April 9, entry to Super League 1 matches and Greek Cup matches will be carried out digitally. How to make an electronic ticket in Gov.gr Wallet.

This requires registration in the National Contact Register, tells newsbeast.gr. As Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou and Deputy Sports Minister Yiannis Vroutsis said regarding measures to combat fan violence, the new identification process will be carried out using digital wallet Gov.gr. A prerequisite for downloading it is registration with National Communications Registry (EmEp).

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted: “No matter how difficult it is to fight so-called fan violence, we will continue our efforts and fight to win this battle.” Mr Papastergiou agrees:

“The triptych “new legislation, cameras, identification” guarantees great changes taking place in the field of Greek sports. As the Ministry of Digital Governance, we use all available technological tools to ensure that identification is carried out in the most modern and secure way. We are using the power of our digital wallet, Gov.gr Wallet, to make it easy and convenient for us and our children to visit stadiums.”

First, you need to register with EmEp before you can use the Gov.gr Wallet app, which requires a certified mobile phone number. It is certified solely by registering data with the National Communications Register (NMR).

For adults it is first produced registration in the National Communications Registry. Then we connect to the wallet via taxis, select a ticket and enter it into the wallet. After this, a QR code or barcode appears with which every sports fan will be able to enter the stadium.

Minors over 15 years of age who have personal TAXISnet account codes and their mobile phone registered in EmEp, will follow the same procedure as adults to enter the stadiums using the Gov.gr wallet.

For minors under the age of 15, they will be able to enter the stadium if their parent or guardian identifies the ticket and saves it in the app. If a minor is accompanied by another adult, when identifying the ticket, the person exercising guardianship or trusteeship announces the TIN of the adult who will accompany the minor. But only on the condition that the adult accompanying person has already identified and saved their own ticket in the Gov.gr wallet.

At the beginning of the implementation of the new method of entering stadiums, until the end of the current season, sports fans will be able to visit stadiums both with a Gov.gr Wallet ticket and in the usual way.
