A package with explosives was found in Austria at the entrance to a building where a meeting of the religious community of Jehovah's Witnesses was taking place.
There were fifty people there reports dpa with reference to information from law enforcement officers. Police say the package had the “potential to cause great harm.” The police operation continued all night – security officers cordoned off the area and seized the package. The press service said in a statement: “This is a non-standard, homemade, but functional explosive device.”
There have already been two explosive incidents involving Jehovah's Witnesses in Austria last year. Previously our publication told that the countries of the European Union, including Greece, are in a state of anti-terrorism security, having increased the level of preparedness for terrorist attacks after attacks at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow.
