The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry categorically denies involvement in the terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk near Moscow

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is outraged and categorically denies any accusations that have begun to be heard from Russian officials of possible involvement in the shooting on March 22 at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.

In the statement on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ukraine says:

“We consider such accusations to be a planned provocation by the Kremlin in order to further whip up anti-Ukrainian hysteria in Russian society, create conditions for strengthening the mobilization of Russian citizens to participate in criminal aggression against our state and discredit Ukraine in the eyes of the international community.”

The department reminds that the Russian regime has a long history of bloody provocations of the special services, such as the terrorist attack on Kashirskoye Highway in 1999:

“There are no red lines for the Putin dictatorship. It is ready to kill its own citizens for political purposes, just as it killed thousands of Ukrainian civilians through missile strikes, artillery attacks and torture during the war against Ukraine.”

The ministry called on the international community to resolutely reject false Russian accusations of Ukraine’s alleged involvement in shooting in Krasnogorsk and strengthen support for our state in countering criminal Russian aggression.

As our publication wrote, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev saidthat “if it is established that it is the terrorists of the Kyiv regime who are involved in the shooting, then they must be mercilessly destroyed as terrorists.”

The NTV channel, in a special news release dedicated to the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, showed yesterday a fake video in which the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov allegedly confirms Ukraine’s involvement in the incident. About it writes Russian opposition publication Meduza.

Release aired about one o’clock in the morning Moscow time. The presenter introduced the video with the comment: “The involvement of the Kyiv regime in the terrorist attack in the Moscow region was confirmed publicly and on television by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov.” In the video, Danilov says: “It’s fun in Moscow today, I think it’s very fun. I would like to believe that we will arrange such fun for them more often.”

Meduza published a screenshot of this video, the video itself can be found on the Telegram channel of another opposition Russian publication, ASTRA. Meduza says:

“The video is fake. On the evening of March 22, other presenters worked on the air of the Ukrainian telethon, but Danilov was not a guest there.”

Meduza watched several of Danilov’s speeches on Ukrainian television, but was unable to quickly find words about “fun in Moscow.”

I even doubted the authenticity of the video. TV channel Kremlin Zvezda, which previously published this video on Telegram: “Probably the video with Danilov may turn out to be fake. The Ukrainian side claims that it was created using deepfake technology or refers to old speeches of the NSDC Secretary.”
