Doctors at the Ioannina hospital were speechless when a man came to the medical facility and took the baby with him.
The inadequate citizen claimed that he was the father of the child, but this was not established. When he said that he wanted to take the child, the doctors did not allow him to do so.
However, according to the Mega channel, the man somehow managed to take the baby and leave the hospital through the back door. After that, he took the child to a relative, where he was found by law enforcement officers, warned by doctors about an emergency situation. The child’s family has not been identified, since the baby was hospitalized by decision of the prosecutor’s office.
“The child was hospitalized from February 20 until noon today, March 9. This citizen was his official accompanying person. When the man was informed that the child would be placed in a shelter, there was an inadequate reaction on his part. The staff responded immediately when they realized that the person had left the medical institution with the child.
The baby and his supposed “dad” were found by the police, and today the child was transferred to the Arta hospital by order of the prosecutor’s office,” Georgios Floudas, chairman of the Ioannina hospital workers’ union, said in an interview with Akoma Den Eides Tipota.
