Greek air traffic controllers go on 24-hour strike on February 28

The board of the Greek air traffic controllers union called on its members on Thursday to join a 24-hour strike called for February 28, 2024 by the umbrella federation of civil servants ADEDY.

The air traffic controllers’ strike is planned from 00:01 to 24:00 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

The trade union board stated that “during the strike, only those flights that are provided for by the existing legislative framework will be serviced,” media reports.

Flight cancellations

During the strike they will be served only those flightswhich are provided for by the current legislative framework, for example, emergency and others.

Once the declared strike begins, airlines will cancel all scheduled domestic and international flights.

If the air traffic controllers’ strike goes ahead and is not overturned by the court, airlines are expected to cancel all domestic and international flights.
