Weather: a new wave of bad weather is moving towards Greece from Italy, rain and storms are expected over the weekend

The weather will be unstable in the coming days, despite continued high temperatures. However, on the weekend (February 24-25), a new wave of bad weather with rain and storms will arrive from Italy.

According to the meteorologist’s forecast OPEN Clearhos Marousakis, on Thursday (22/2) there will be rain in the southernmost parts of the country, that is towards the southern Ionian Sea, around the Peloponnese and Crete. Rainfall is also expected in the northwestern Aegean Sea. The rest of the country is expected to be partly cloudy.

As Mr Marousakis noted in his forecast, on Friday (23 February) the events will focus mainly on the western parts of the eastern Aegean Sea, while a new wave of severe weather slowly approaches us from the Italian region. On the one hand, today’s wave of bad weather will weaken towards the eastern parts of the Aegean Sea. But on the other hand, a new wave of bad weather will come from the west of our country.

According to meteorologist Open, in Saturday (February 24) a wave of bad weather with southerly winds will arrive from Italy. Temperatures could rise above 20C in eastern Greece and on Sunday (February 25) the weather front will move a little further east, bringing with it rain and storms.
