Lots of Lacta Oreo chocolate are being recalled, the company says in a statement.


Mondelez has recalled a batch of 37g Lacta Oreo chocolate. Lacta Oreo is one of the company’s “strongest” products, as chocolate is combined with the famous cookies.

The company says the recall is due to the possible presence of a small piece of plastic(!?) in them. The company also emphasizes that it has independently informed EFET, and for any questions, consumers can contact the hotline at 800-11-81111.

Company Statement

“Mondelēz Hellas SA, with absolute respect for the consumer and prioritizing the superior quality of its products, is, on its own initiative, recalling as a precautionary measure in Greece individual quantities of the following batches (OSK0934651, OSK0934652 and with a best before date preferably before: 18/8/2024 ) of Chocolate Oreo Lacta 37 grams due to the possible presence of a foreign body (a small piece of plastic).

It is emphasized that this precautionary recall does not affect any other batch of this product, nor any other Oreo, Lacta or any other product category of Mondelēz Hellas SA. At the same time, the company, on its own initiative, informed the EFET. Consumers who purchased this product are advised not to consume it as a precaution and, if desired, contact the point of sale with proof of purchase for a refund.
