According to ΕΛΣΤΑΤin January 2024, 22,539 cars (new or used foreign) hit the country’s roads for the first time, compared to 21,129 in the corresponding month of 2023, which means an increase of 6.7%.
In January 2023, compared to the corresponding month of 2022, the turnover of cars (new or used) increased for the first time by 50.4%. There were 13,708 new cars on the road in January 2024, up from 11,638 in the corresponding month of 2023, an increase of 17.8%.
The number of new motorcycles with an engine capacity of more than 50 cc (new and used foreign) on the roads in January 2024 was 4,953, compared to 4,187 in the corresponding month of 2023, showing an increase of 18.3%. The release of new motorcycles (over 50 cc) on the country’s roads in January 2023 showed an increase of 79.6% compared to the corresponding month of 2022.
There were 4,639 new motorcycles launched in January 2024 compared to 3,864 in the corresponding month of 2023, a growth of 20.1%.
