The father could not survive the rape of his 15-year-old daughter and committed suicide (video)

Tragedy in Rethymnon: the father of a minor girl, the victim of prolonged sexual abuse, was found dead, and next to him lay a note:

“I learned these facts about my daughter and I can’t stand them. Check her mobile phone to find out the truth. I can’t stand it anymore. I am grateful to the police for what they did. Please don’t take the child away from the mother because she will go crazy. I can’t bear all this and because of depression I do what happened.”

During an investigation into the alleged abuse of his daughter by twelve men, the house where he and the girl lived was searched on January 22. Having learned about everything, the man decided to commit suicide.

The sexual abuse of the teenage girl allegedly continued for the past three years, since she was 12 years old. Twelve people aged between 17 and 38 from the area of ​​Mylopotamos in Rethymno are accused. The charge relates to the sexual exploitation of a minor, and two people are accused of raping her. Several of them are Greeks, the rest are foreigners.

Five days ago, the father of a minor was found dead in his car; authorities believe it was a suicide. A Pakistani man has been arrested in connection with the rape case. The tragedy came to light after an anonymous complaint to the “Smile of a Child”, which was filed by a woman in 2023, tells CNN Greece.

According to the organization, last summer “Smile of a Child” received an anonymous call from the “National Children’s Hotline SOS 1056.” Upon learning from the complaint of ongoing sexual exploitation of a child, the organization immediately informed local authorities, who contacted the person who filed the complaint, but wished to remain anonymous. The prosecutor then ordered a secret investigation into the received signal.

Thus, a total of 12 defendants are involved in the case: either on charges of rape of a 15-year-old girl, or on charges of indecent assault on the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
