Thus Abbott, who claims that over the past 3 years there has been a “invasion” of 6 million illegal immigrants, sent the Texas National Guard to the border both to install razor wire and to prevent Biden’s feds from cutting it.
He was joined by Florida’s Ron DeSantis, who said Thursday morning (1/2) from Cecil Airport in Jacksonville that he would send “1,000 National Guard members and Florida Guard volunteers to help Texas,” and that “without a border, we have no country.”
In Texas, the situation is getting worse every day after Gov. Greg Abbott erected a barbed wire fence (which he is now turning into a wall) to stop thousands of illegal immigrants arriving from the southern border.
The Supreme Court ruled the barbed wire illegal and ordered federal authorities to remove it. However, Abbott accuses the Biden administration of failing to comply with Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution, which states that the federal government must protect every state in the country from “invasion”and referring to “Article 1, Section 10, paragraph 3”emphasizes “The State of Texas has the constitutional power to protect and preserve itself.”
