In Brussels, where the services of the European Parliament are located, on February 1 they “woke up” to the fact that it was “besieged” by 1000 tractors. Farmers lit fires, threw stones and other objects, and police were present to quell the demonstrations. The unrest has disrupted not only agricultural production but also the transport sector, which plays a key role in the delivery of goods. As a result, the entire supply chain has come to a standstill, affecting the economy of the region as a whole.
