Among the cities of Eastern Europe, Dnieper is recognized as the most criminal city. The top 5 also included Odessa and Kharkov.
Ukrainian Dnieper and Odessa are recognized as the most criminal cities according to the Serbian version online databases on consumer prices, real estate prices and Numbeo quality of life indicators. Belarusian Minsk took third place. Next in the anti-rating are Constanta (Romania), Kharkov (Ukraine), Craiova (Romania), Novosibirsk (Russia), Kyiv (Ukraine), Chisinau (Moldova) and Sofia (Bulgaria). The Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca completed the list.
The crime index is an estimate of the overall crime level in a particular city. It is based on data and opinions of netizens, the assessment criteria: the feeling of safety in cities, the level of one’s own concerns about robberies, car thefts, physical attacks, harassment in public places and discrimination.
Last year, in the Numbeo ranking, Odessa took 22nd place, Dnepr – 26, Kharkov – 37, Kyiv – 51, Lviv was in 74th position.
