Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, about the Il-76 crash: “The situation is incomprehensible, Russia does not show the corpses.”
He stated that neither the Russian nor the Ukrainian side can fully answer what happened during the crash of the Il-76 plane in the Belgorod region, quotes “UP”:
“Unfortunately, it must be stated that neither side can fully answer what happened there. Russia’s position is clear – blame Ukraine for everything. Despite the fact that there are a number of factors that are incomprehensible for such a position. This, first of all, is that they did not show fields strewn with corpses and remains, as they should have shown in order to blame Ukraine as much as possible. But even this is not there. That is, the situation is not completely clear. If this happened as the Russian Federation claims, then why did Russia hide it for several days and keeps hiding the corpses? She had to show it to the whole world: “Look, Ukrainians are murderers.” But there are no corpses, there is nothing.”
An exchange of prisoners may take place between Ukraine and the Russian Federation in the near future, reported Budanov, the department is negotiating exchanges. “I am sure that the exchange will take place in the near future,” said the head of intelligence.
