A double sexual assault on minor girls was committed by an unknown person in the Agios Panteleimonas area. In both cases, he allegedly attacked the girls in the elevator as they entered the house.
The first recorded attack occurred last Sunday 21/01. A 14-year-old minor from Albania reported that in the afternoon, shortly before five, while returning home, she entered the elevator, and a man slipped behind her.
The attacker, who spoke English and broken Greek, tried unsuccessfully to talk to her, and as soon as the lights went out in the elevator, he began to grope her. The minor began to scream, and the attacker covered her mouth with his right hand and tried to pull her out of the elevator. The girl, frightened to death, managed to escape to her home, and the criminal disappeared in an unknown direction.
The second attack on a 14-year-old girl (from Bangladesh), according to the related complaint, occurred on Monday 22/01 at noon. When the minor was entering her house, an unknown man stopped her and pretended to shoot (made a corresponding finger shape in the shape of a pistol) to scare her and began to threaten her. Then, using physical force, he forced her to stay in the elevator, “grabbed her by the breast,” and then left.
Police showed photographs of the suspects to the minors, but to no avail. Law enforcement officials hope more evidence will emerge after reviewing video from security cameras installed at nearby stores.
