An Israeli shipping company in Piraeus was the victim of an attack by unknown assailants who used an improvised explosive device early Wednesday morning.
The attackers used a sledgehammer to break the glass door and reportedly left behind an explosive device made from gas canisters. No one was injured in the explosion, which occurred shortly before 2 a.m.
The attackers also left behind leaflets reading “Free Palestine.” Police initially detained six suspects who were in the area, but released them a short time later. Authorities are continuing their investigation. This is the second explosion in this area.
Last time, the “bombers” did not leave any message, and the police and intelligence services, judging by the lack of messages, never got on the trail of the terrorists.
