Italy “falls off its pedestal”

Last February, when the index was first published, The Italian passport was the most powerful in Europe and third in the world, just after the passports of Singapore and Japan. At that time, Italian citizens could travel without a passport to 45 countries, without a visa to 100 countries, with an electronic travel permit to 11, 8 with an electronic visa and 35 with a visa on arrival.
