The main feature of the weather today, on the last day of 2023, remains high for the season air temperatures, up to +20°C.
According to the EMY weather forecast for New Year’s Eve, partly cloudy skies are expected across the country with rain in some areas. Precipitation will fall in the eastern and southern regions of island Greece, and in the evening in the Ionian Sea. In the morning and evening, visibility will be limited in some places due to fog. In the north of Greece, the air temperature fluctuates between +15-16°C, in the rest of the territory +17-18°C, and in the south and east of the island part of the country +18-20°C.
Tomorrow, New Year’s Day, cloudiness will temporarily increase in Ionia, Epirus, the islands of the eastern Aegean and Crete, with localized rain and possibly storms expected. The rest of Greece will experience mostly clear weather tomorrow with some temporary localized clouds. The air temperature will not change significantly and will reach +16-18°C in continental Greece.
