Weather: hot and windy weekend

Temperatures will not change significantly over the weekend. On the mainland they will be 35-37°C, in the west and Thessaly – 38°C, on the Ionian Islands, the islands of the eastern Aegean Sea, the Dodecanese and southern Crete – 34-36°C.

FORECAST FOR SATURDAY 27-07-2024

MACEDONIA, THrace

North wind, from 3 to 4 points on the Beaufort scale. At midday and afternoon on the coast the wind will blow from the south with the same intensity.

Temperatures from 20 to 35 and in some places up to 36°C. In western Macedonia the minimum will be 2-3 degrees lower.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN FIRELAND, WESTERN PELOPONNESE

Generally clear, with some clouds during midday and afternoon hours on the mainland.

Wind variable, from 2 to 4, at midday west/northwest up to 4 points.

Temperature from 22 to 38°C. In Epirus the minimum will be 3-4 degrees lower.

EASTERN SOLIDIA, EUBOEA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE

Weather: generally clear. North wind 3 to 5 and locally 6 points on the Beaufort scale in the east. Temperature 20 to 36°C.

CYCLADES, CRETE.

Weather: clear. North wind, 4-6 points and from midday 5-7 points. Temperature from 24 to 31, and in the south of Crete up to 34-35°C.

EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE

The weather is generally clear. Northwest wind, from 5 to 6 and in places 7 points on the Beaufort scale. Temperature from 25 to 34-35 and in places on the Dodecanese up to 36°C.

ATTICA

The weather is generally clear. Wind north/northeast from 3 to 5 and in the east locally from 5 to 6 points on the Beaufort scale. Temperature from 24 to 36°C. In coastal areas the maximum will be 2-3 degrees lower.

THESSALONIKI

The weather is generally clear, with a few rare clouds at midday and in the afternoon in the mountains. North wind from 3 to 4 points. At midday and in the afternoon, south wind with the same intensity. Temperature from 23 to 35°C.

FORECAST FOR SUNDAY 28-07-2024

In general, clear weather. The wind will be northwesterly from 3 to 5 points in the west and northerly from 4 to 6 points in the east, locally 7 points in the Aegean Sea. In the west, the temperature will rise slightly. On the mainland it will be 36-38 degrees Celsius, in the west – 39 degrees, on the Ionian Islands, the islands of the eastern part of the Aegean Sea, the Dodecanese and southern Crete – 35-36 degrees Celsius, in the rest of the island country – 31-33 degrees Celsius.
