Intelligence in one of the European countries admits that next winter a Russian attack on Europe is possible.
About it writes Bild publication, citing its own intelligence source in this country. They believe that the Russian Federation will try to strike when the United States “finds itself without a leader,” that is, in the winter of 2024/25, and will not be able to come to the rescue in a timely manner. This could happen between the current US president leaving office in early November 2024 and his potential successor taking office in January 2025.
An intelligence official says that Russian authorities are hoping for former President Donald Trump to come to the White House, because under his rule “anything can happen.”
Earlier, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the European defense industry needed time to increase its capabilities: “We now have about five to eight years to catch up – both in the armed forces and in industry and society.”
Vladimir Putin called the words of the West about the Russian attack on NATO nonsense: “Russia has no interest – neither geopolitical, nor economic, nor political, nor military – to fight with NATO countries. We have no territorial claims against each other with them, and we have no desire to spoil relations with them. We are interested in developing relations,” said the Russian president.
