This morning, December 18, a 29-year-old policeman died while pursuing a car thief in the Aspropyrgos area, on the Athens-Corinth highway.
The tragic accident occurred after a call to the Rapid Response Center about an attempted car theft in the Νίκαιας area. The criminals were in two cars, one of which managed to escape, and the police began to pursue the second.
ΔΙ.ΑΣ police took part in the chase. on cars and motorcycles. In the Aspropyrgos area, the pursued car made a dangerous maneuver, as a result of which the police car braked sharply and the motorcycle driver crashed into it.
