He pretended to be a policeman – either a German or a Greek
According to the case file, the man had been in Greece since at least 2019 and was driving a private car with German license plates. Sometimes he posed as a German policeman serving in a special unit in Greece and allegedly identified pedophiles, and sometimes as a Greek policeman.
In his testimony, the accused denied impersonating a police officer and, when asked about the material, said he did not know it was illegal in Greece. “There is not a single witness who would say that I walked around the city in the guise of a policeman,” he said, explaining that he was in Greece for family reasons.
What the police found during the search
