The mother of a six-year-old child intends to lodge a complaint about the school lunch with worms with the Thesprotia Primary Education Department and the Ministry of Education.
She discovered worms in a school lunch served to children in the settlement of Glyki (Thesprotia). On Friday, November 24, prepared food “with fillings” was distributed to children, including her son. Worms were found in pasta with tomato and vegetable sauce. The mother intends to file a complaint with the Ministry of Education. Souli Mayor Ioannis Karayiannis called the incident unheard of, expressed outrage and called for strict controls to prevent similar incidents from happening again. He demanded strict health checks and oversight of companies that cook and feed elementary school students.
The matter is expected to be taken up by the Suli Municipality Education Committee.
