Three women in Exarchia who contacted the police in the past few days were left in shock as they became victims of a rapist.
It is about “δράκος των Εξαρχείων”, an aggressive man who roams the Exarchia region and attacks women with the intention of raping them. According to what is known so far, the man tried to rape at least three women, but fortunately, he could not bring his “sick idea” to completion. Among the victims is a 13-year-old girl who was attacked first.
The moment when a maniac attacks a 29-year-old woman was caught on video published by Greek media. The video released is shocking and captures the moment a man follows an unsuspecting woman walking towards Omonia.
In the video published by the website Lawandorder.gr, you can see that the man is wearing a black jacket, a blue sweater and beige trousers. In front of him is a dark-haired woman holding a bag. The rapist runs after her, catches up with her and quickly throws her onto the sidewalk. What follows is the girl’s painful attempt to cope with the criminal lying on top of her.
In a last-ditch attempt to avoid the worst, she begins to scream for help. Neighbors who heard her screams came out of the shops and scared off the would-be rapist. The shocking incident reportedly occurred at 8 a.m. on Monday (11/21).
The victim of the attempted rape, a Greek citizen, reported the incident to the police, and security officials intend to track down the attacker before he “looks for another victim.”
An alert has been circulating on the internet since yesterday Monday. The information leaflet describes the suspect and also mentions the streets where the attacks took place.
