The widow of Akis Tsohatsopoulos has accepted an offer from Netflix to produce a documentary about her husband’s life.

Vicky Tsohatzopoulou (Stamati) in the program “To Proinono” spoke about her son who is preparing to study abroad, and also mentioned the opportunity to follow him, as well as the offer she received from Netflix.

As was heard on TV, Vicky Tsochatzopoulos and her son Akis will leave for the UK next summer, where the 17-year-old boy will begin his studies at the finance department of a prestigious university.

The widow of Akis Tsochatzopoulos also said that she “accepted an offer from Netflix.” The film concern decided to make a documentary about the life of her husband, who died in August 2021, after unbearable suffering and ordeal.

“Nothing has changed in our life with the child. We have not accepted the fact that Akis is no longer with us… We are trying, with dignity and silence, I emphasize this, to close the vicious circle of universal condemnation of our family,” said Vicky Tsohatzopoulou.

“It never even occurred to me to think about something for myself. My priority now is my son and his studies. On November 14 he will turn 17 years old. When he is ready, he himself will tell about his father. He suffers and wants to justify his father in every possible way,” she emphasized. “I don’t want him to read things that aren’t true.”

Speaking about the European university where her son will enroll, Vicky Stamati noted: “This is a famous university in Europe. It ranks sixth in the world. I don’t know how everything will turn out, whether my son will like studying there. The most important thing is to shake off the ashes of the past from the wings and move on.”

Asked if she planned to follow him herself, Vicky Tsohatzopoulou said: “It’s God’s will. It would be a huge gift for me to follow my child if (and for how long) he chooses. I think it would be very healthy”.

The widow decided not to talk about the amount of the fee that Netflix offered her for creating the documentary.
