Kifissia: video of the robbery of two minors – they were beaten with rebar and sprayed in the face with aerosol

A video recording of a robbery attack on two minors that occurred at noon on Monday October 2 in the vicinity of the Kifissia station is reported by protothema.gr.

The case was solved two days ago by the security department of the Kifissia police station, as a result of which one of the participants in the robbery (he was already 18 years old) was arrested (there were three of them in total).

The arrested person is accused of causing bodily harm and robbery by prior conspiracy, receiving and alienating proceeds from a crime, violating the laws on weapons and narcotic substances. The two other robbers are being investigated by the police’s juvenile department.

The documentary footage shows the criminals dousing the victims with spray paint and beating the victims with iron bars wrapped in paper.

According to the chronology of the case, a 17-year-old teenager put up a mobile phone for sale on one of the social networks. After one person expressed interest in purchasing it, a meeting was set up to complete the deal.

The owner of the mobile phone, together with his peer, went to the appointed place, where an 18-year-old guy was waiting for him, who first pretended to buy a phone, and then, under a fraudulent pretext, led them to a nearby street, where two more people appeared. In order to seize the smartphone, the attackers sprayed the victims with an aerosol and attacked them, using physical violence and an iron rod wrapped in paper for concealment.

During the investigation, through open Internet resources, an 18-year-old teenager was identified who posted an advertisement on the same social network for the sale of a mobile phone, which he received during the above-mentioned robbery. He was subsequently detained while attempting to resell the seized mobile phone, and during a personal search a small amount of cannabis was found on him.

A seized mobile phone has been returned to a teenage victim of a robbery. It is worth noting that the police worked so effectively on this robbery mainly because the incident occurred in the Kifissia area, where most of the capital’s elite, politicians, large businessmen, bankers, etc. live. If a similar incident had occurred in another area, for example, in the center of Athens, it is highly likely that the police would not have even started looking for the robbers…
