Combat dolphins in the fight against Ukrainian special forces

Russia sent trained dolphins to Crimea to fight Ukrainian divers.

According to publications Naval News, in September, pens for combat trained dolphins appeared at the naval base in the village of Novoozernoye in the northwestern part of Crimea, 90 km from Sevastopol. Earlier, Ukrainian special forces raids in this area became more frequent. The publication notes:

“The pens are located at the pier of an oyster farm. However, they are not suitable for oyster farming, but are the same size and shape as the pens that the Russian Navy uses to keep dolphins. And this area is separate from the marine mammal exhibit at Stepnaya Gavan, which is approximately 5 km”.

OSINT researcher HI Sutton, the author of the material, suggests that the dolphins were transferred to Novoozernoye in order to protect this part of the peninsula from Ukrainian special forces.

Trained dolphins are considered very effective against military divers. No matter how athletic or fit a person is, they cannot beat them in swimming, and the built-in sonar gives them an even greater advantage.

Dolphins are used to protect ships from mine-laying or reconnaissance divers. They can also patrol the coast to counter raids on coastal facilities.
