Nothing and no one can console the parents of an 8-year-old boy who was shot outside his home in Zephyry while he was playing in the yard.
Let us remember that the murder was the result of a fierce quarrel between two Roma families. As noted, the family of the unfortunate child even left the area for a while in order to “reduce tension.” And none of them imagined that the return would have such tragic consequences.
Video from social networks shows how one of the two alleged attackers shot up the home of “hated neighbors.”
The child’s mother describes the dramatic moments of the attack. The inconsolable woman said that this is not the first time they have quarreled with these particular people. According to her, the attackers are godparents (!) of her child.
On Saturday evening, October 14, allegedly criminals drove in two cars near a house located at the intersection of Antipu and Karla streets, opening fire. A small child, who was playing in the yard at that time, was mortally wounded. His parents ran out to the sound of gunfire and found the baby in a pool of blood.
Police officers immediately went to the scene. The boy was taken to the Aglaya Kyriacou Children’s Hospital. Doctors carried out all the necessary procedures, but the baby could not be saved.
