A suicide bomber carried out an explosion in northern Afghanistan, in the Takiakhan Imam Zaman mosque in the city of Puli Khumri, the capital of Baghlan province. Seven people died.
Seventeen more people were injured reports Anadolu. The explosion occurred during prayer, and most of those present were Shiites, said Mustafa Hashemi, director of the province’s information and culture department.
The Harkat-e-Islami Party Afghanistan said that “15 to 20 believers were martyred in the tragic incident.”
