A rally in support of Palestine was held in Athens


Palestinian organizations, leftist organizations and extra-parliamentary leftist parties held a solidarity rally with the Palestinian people in front of Freedom Park and a protest march to the Israeli Embassy this evening.

A joint statement from the organizers of the demonstration said:

“The right of the Palestinian people to resist occupation and demand the creation of an independent unitary Palestinian state is not “terrorism”. It is their inalienable right, based on numerous resolutions of both the UN Security Council and its General Assembly. We stand with the Palestinians against Israeli apartheid and his imperialist allies.

We demand the cessation of all military, economic and diplomatic relations, the renunciation of alliances – the isolation of the State of Israel.

We support and participate in the rally of solidarity with the Palestinian people, called by Palestinian and left-wing organizations on Friday 13-10-2023, 18:30 in Freedom Park, and in the march to the Israeli Embassy.”
