To Moldova "got knocked up" 2 more S-300 missiles from Ukraine

In Lake Khyrbovets, Novoanensky district of Moldova, a warhead of a Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile was found, previously fired at Russian missiles and drones heading to targets in Ukrainian ports in the Danube Delta.

At first, the Chisinau authorities spoke about fragments of a rocket near the village of Farladani, Causeni region, suggesting that these were parts of the one that exploded and fell in Transnistria. However, today, September 28, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova confirmed that there is a warhead of another missile in the lake.

The national police, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (GIES), carabinieri and border police are working at the scene of the incident. Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros also located in Anenii Noi.

Bombteh specialists analyzed the optimal solution for explosives disposal. To begin with, hydraulic engineers pumped water out of the lake to make the work of pyrotechnicians easier. After this, sappers successfully carried out a controlled explosion of the discovered explosive elements of the warhead.

“We clarify that there is no danger to the population, the territory is isolated, and the first houses are located at a distance of 1 kilometer from the danger zone,” – noted the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The day before, local residents told authorities that they had spotted some components of a rocket in the lake, which may have crashed in the area. On the night of the incident (September 25), eyewitnesses say they heard two explosions in the air.

Let us remind you that during a strike by the Russian army on military targets in the Odessa region, fragments of an S-300 missile, which is in service with the Ukrainian air defense, fell on the territory of Transnistria (the village of Kitskany). Ukrainian telegram channels confirmed that their military then carried out launches indiscriminately. By luck, the warhead did not explode when it entered the ground on the territory of a private household. Later, her fuel tank and propulsion engine were discovered in the field. The surviving markings show that the rocket is a 1968 model. This type of weapon is actively used by Ukrainian formations. It has already been confirmed that in November 2022, a similar S-300 flew into Poland, killing two farmers.

The state news agency Moldpres stated that it was a “Russian missile,” although it is known that missiles of this class do not fly at a distance of more than 200 km. At the same time, the head of the Moldovan government Maia Sandu states that “although the origin of the object is not yet clear, it is clear that Russia is to blame.”
