A bus carrying a military mission in Libya was blown up(?)

A photograph of a bus transporting the Greek military mission in Libya has appeared online, showing holes: according to experts, they are the result of an explosion.

Particularly while the government and most pro-government media claim that it was “traffic accident” The published evidence raises many questions. The photo below shows that several new holes have appeared in the body of the bus, which confirms the version of the explosion as a consequence of a terrorist attack.

The photograph resembles a bus that was bombed, not a bus that was involved in… a car accident. At the same time, the government, through its spokesman Pavlos Marinakis, says it does not know what happened in Libya.

P. Marinakis, using language more appropriate for… the first news release, rather than for a government spokesman the day after a tragedy with five dead. When asked whether security measures were being taken, the government spokesman resorted to… a special newsletter:

“The exact cause of the incident will be investigated. According to initial information, this is a tragic car accident. We cannot say with certainty what did or did not happen, and I cannot tell you that until the investigation is complete, until the official responses from the Department of Defense. I can say that an investigation into the cause will be carried out immediately. And, of course, the driver: what happened, what is the responsibility for the fact that these people did not return home after the humanitarian aid with which they went”.

At the same time, Libyan authorities are considering the possibility that the tragedy was caused by the actions of Islamist extremists, since Derna has been a stronghold of ISIS since 2011 and is completely controlled by irreconcilable armed groups that do not recognize meaningful control from the pro-Turkish government of A. Dbeibah.

The only thing that is certain is that five Greeks died in Libya due to the ill-conceived operation.
