Policeman killed ex-wife and committed suicide

The public is in shock over a new femicide in Thessaloniki with two dead, as the perpetrator committed suicide after killing his wife.

The long list of murdered women in Greece has been supplemented with another case of murder by a husband of his wife. It all happened on Tuesday morning in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki. The bodies were found in the apartment. The 38-year-old policeman reportedly shot and killed his 42-year-old ex-wife and the mother of their children with a carbine (his service weapon had previously been taken away from him).

According to information, the criminal and special forces soldier took two children to school in the morning, and then returned to “talk” with his ex-wife. Presumably, the man was not in the mood to talk and sort things out, since he went up to the apartment with a weapon and dealt with his ex-wife in cold blood, apparently guided by the principles “don’t get it from anyone!” and “they died on the same day.” A group of forensic scientists was sent to the scene to find out the details of what happened.
