Emergency landing of a passenger plane in Russia (video)


In the Novosibirsk region of the Russian Federation, a passenger plane with 165 people on board made an emergency landing in a field. There were no casualties.

According to preliminary information, the aircraft’s hydraulic system failed. Novosibirsk Governor Andrei Travnikov explained the situation:

“Today at 5:44 am in the Ubinsky district of the Novosibirsk region, a Ural Airlines plane flying from Sochi to Omsk made an emergency landing on the ground. There were 170 people on board, including 23 children. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties, passengers evacuated, no fire recorded.”

The Federal Air Transport Agency clarified that there were 159 passengers and 6 crew members on board the plane. It is reported that contact with the crew was established, the passengers were accommodated in the nearest village, and no one sought medical help.

The plane landed on a site selected from the air near the village of Kamenka, 180 km from Novosibirsk.
